Secretary General stresses NATO`s solidarity with Ukraine

In talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin on Thursday (29 January 2015), Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO would continue its strong political and practical support for Ukraine, reports GHN based on NATO web site.
He also expressed concern about the recent escalation of violence in the country. "We are very much concerned about the situation and also by the continued support of Russia to the separatists," the Secretary General said.
Mr Stoltenberg repeated his call for the ceasefire to be respected, and stressed that "NATO is supporting all efforts to try to find a peaceful solution, based on the Minsk agreements."
The Secretary General said "we will continue to support you, and we will work with you, with strong support to the independence and the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine."
