The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia expresses its deep sorrow over the horrific terrorist act committed at Istanbul Ataturk Airport in Turkey on 28 June 2016, leaving more than frothy people dead and about 150 - wounded.

The Ministry condemns in the strongest terms this terrorist act and extends its condolences to the Government of Turkey, the families of the deceased and wishes speedy recovery to those injured.

The Ministry declares that a hotline has started functioning in Georgia's General Consulate in relation to the blast recently occurred in Istanbul Ataturk Airport. The hotline number is (+90 541) 818 44 00.
