Iran to cooperate with Georgia in energy sphere

Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Georgian Prime Minister pays an official visit to Iran. In the frames of this visit he met with Iranian vice Prime Minister for bilateral deliberations. The main topics of discussion were transport and transit corridors, cooperation in energy sector, agriculture and banking areas.
Iranian party expressed its willingness to cooperate with Georgian Republic in energy area, among them in exchanging the Iranian gas for Georgian electricity.

The parties paid special attention to bilateral economic cooperation, they agreed to conduct next Georgian-Iranian Intergovernmental sitting of the Economic Commission in Summer, this year. Culture, science and innovations in high technologies areas were also on agenda for future cooperation between two countries.

The memorandum on mutual understanding was signed between parties.
