After the accomplishment of the today's session, KAkha Baindurashvili, Finance Minister said to journalists that the excise for Georgian tobacco goods will be 60 tetri as it is for the imported ones.

"The discriminating policy was carried out to the imported goods for the restoration of the homeland manufacturing, for this purpose the differential tariff was taken, however now we have no choice but to make equal these tariffs - for local and for imported tobacco. The "British American tobacco" sued Georiga for not having the antidumping policy in this area. At the same time the Georigan government received the note of protest fromUkraine and the letter from the EU envoy that in case if Georgia will not satisfy the conditions then the free trade agreement between EU and Georiga would be hindered, "- Baindurashvili said.
He noted that this antidumping measure will not make rise of prises for the local tobacco, but it will raise the payment for the local manufacturers.
