Parliamentary Vice Spockesman Mikheil Machavariani hopes that the initiative for the satellite connections over Tskhinvali and Sokhumi regions will not be blocked by EU. Machavariani said that the Sarkozi-Medvediev agreement is not fulfilled yet by Russian Federation, and considering these circumstances the European states will not refuse the satellite observation over occupied territories.
"Euormonitors cannot enter by today the Tskhinvali region and Abkhazia. And in fact the sitiation there is absolutely out of control. The situation may not be continued in such way. It is nessesary to find the alternate ways for the control of the situation. One of such ways is the satellite control over these territories. Georgia demands this during several months already, " - Machavariani said. This will be the way for the observation over the Russian militarization in these regions.
It is notable that Nino Kalandadze declared about the demand of Georgian government to implement the satellite observation over the occupied regions. She said that the consultations in this question are already pending with EU.
