Decision which was taken for amendments in the elections code of Georiga will be reflected in the legislation and on November 30 will be initiated in the Parliamentary Bureau, the GHN reports. The decision was taken by those political forces which signed the document about agreemnts which were reached in the elections system.
The meeting of the political parties' representatives and Pavle Kublashvili, the chairman of the Law Committee was hold today in Parliament.
Kublashvili said that the refusal of Alliance for Georiga to sign the agreement will not be a cause for denial of this decision, as all political parties reached the consensus.
According to the agreement between opposition and the majority, the barrier for the City Mayor elections will be 30 %. The "Sakrebulo" (advising board) will be staffed by 50 people, 25 from them will be elected by the majority system, and 20 by the proportional system. The chairman of the Central Elections Committee will be elected by the opposition from three candidates presented by the President of the country.
Moreover the representatives of the opposition will be appointed as secretaries of the Commissions and Committees on all levels. But it is to be noted that opinions differ in this matter, and the group working under the elections code amendments said that these questions will be discussed during the second hearing.
