Mikhail Saakashvili, President of Georgia said that the Georgian media lacks of professionalism and objectivity. He said this while taking the floor in London, in the research Centre "Chetem House".
"Despite the fact that our government is sincere to the freedom of media (and the proof for this is several existing TV channels disposed like enemies to the government, but having at the same time the official licenses for the broadcasting). They are very-very adversary TV channels, " - Saakashvili said. At the same time Saakashvili noted that reforms are pending for providing the "political debates in TV channels". As an example of this he named the reforms on the second channel of GPB, which is intended to provide a time for declarations of politicians and Press conferences."
