On January 28, the U.S. Embassy Marine Security Guard Detachment and Ms. Holly Holzer-Bass will visit the Kojori Orphanage, delivering toys for 75 children from ages 6 to 16 years old under the "Toys for Tots" program. The U.S. Marine Detachment, led by Gunnery Sergeant Rodrigo Arias, collected toys donated by Tbilisi residents and members of the Embassy community for this drive. The Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, Caucasus Research Resource Centers, and the students of New School Georgia also participated in collecting toys. Press is invited to attend.

Founded in 1947, Toys for Tots aims to help less fortunate children throughout the United States and across the world experience the joy of Christmas. This program unites all members of local communities in a common cause during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign. Over the 64 years of the U. S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program, Marines have distributed more than 400 million toys to 188 million needy children.
