The joint international expedition of National Museum of Georgia and Eurasian department of state museums of Berlin in Bolnisi municipality, in a village Nakhiduri, on Arukhlo former settlement discovered living and utility buildings dated with VI century BC, reports GHN.
There should be especially marked strange channels in the settlement; the function of channels is not known. As a result of archeological works the expedition found stone, bone and horn working and utility tools that confirm that in that territory was developed ranching, farming and crafts.
Together with the researchers and students of National Museum in the expedition participated specialists from Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland. The expedition from Georgian side is led by the Guram Mirtskhulava and from German side the first director of Eurasian department of archeological museum professor Svend Hansen. The aim of the expedition is learning of Neolithic culture and study conception and development of production problems, Periodization-chronological specification. At the same time the expedition represents training center of students and youth where study and deepen their knowledge Georgian as well foreign young people. The research of Arkhulo settlement has begun from 70s of 20th century. From 2005 archeological works has begun on Arkhulo again.
