Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Lado Vardzelashvili has awarded Georgian wrestlers, who gained success at European Championship and a Georgian woman chess player Nana Dzagnidze.
The Minister congratulated the sportsmen on victory and thanked them for presenting Georgia as a successful country on international arena.
Lado Vardzelashvili pledged to do everything for the development of various sectors of sports in Georgia. He said he would supervise the development of sport infrastructure in regions in order to have more successful sportsmen in the future. He said healthy generation and development of sports were key priorities of Georgian government and these priorities conditioned the formation of his ministry, which had been so far operating as a department of the culture ministry.
