On behalf of the United States Government, Ambassador John R. Bass will transfer ten Universal Corn Harvesters worth $2,560,300 to the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture at 11:00 a.m. on August 23 at the Orkhevi Mechanization Center in Tbilisi.
The Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Bakur Kvezereli will attend the ceremony.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture funded procurement of the corn harvesters that will be available to farmers through LTD "Mekanizatori" mechanization centers. This long-term, agricultural technical assistance illustrates the strong partnership between the U.S. and Georgian peoples.
