The Georgian Justice Minister is about to pass all proves which the General Procurator's Office obtained concerning the August 2008 war to the ICC (International Criminal Court). The materials contain investigation of the legal violations committed by Russian aggressors.
Zurab Adeishvili, Justice Minister in conversation with Luis Moreno Okampo, Procurator of the ICC said that Georgian side is ready to cooperate with ICC.
In the Office of ICC Prosecutor, Zurab Adeishvili talked about legal violations committed by Russian militaries and its controlled illegal band formations against peaceful population in Georgia. Here were committed facts of assault, murder, human rights violations and humanitarian law norms violations. The special attention was paid to the ethnic cleansing committed by Russian Federation in the occupied territory, to the intentional annihilation of villages, and to the facts of pulling out from own homes Georgian population. Georgian Justice Minister as well talked about a very bad situation in the occupied territory nowadays.
The meeting between Adeishvili and Okampo was a third one official meeting between Georgian Justice Ministry and ICC Procurator's Office.
