Ministry of Finance of Georgia begins to investigate the possible misappropriation of funds by official structures from the state budget. Minister of Finance Nodar Khaduri says the internal audit will look into specific facts of spending funds from local and central budget. To set the exact numbers of the misappropriated funds, the investigation department of the ministry of finance will be the next to join the process after the internal audit presents relevant documents.
`Serious expenditures were made from Georgia`s budget during past two-three years, the reasonability of which should be identified, to say it lightly and the efficiency of which is very negative. Internal audit will learn the funds appropriated by all ministries and budgetary structures,` Minister has said.
