Construction of a Memorial Residence of Goderdzi Chokheli is in full swing in Chokhi Village of Gudamakari Valley. Completion is scheduled in autumn this year. Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia visited the construction site today.
Head of Government of Georgia met with the extended family of Goderdzi Chokheli and local community members to speak about the projects implemented in their region.
Prime Minister of Georgia noted that current and anticipated infrastructure projects are aimed at empowering the local settlements for their further development and return of people to their original dwellings with relevant living conditions created locally and for the boosted tourism potential of the region.
In the opinion of the Head of Government of Georgia, Internet Access of Highlands is a project of special importance towards this end. It has been advancing for several months and high speed access will be provided in Pshavi, Khevsureti and Gudamakari Valleys.
Public school building in Zanduki Village is being rehabilitated in Gudamakari as well. It currently admits 5 pupils. Head of Government of Georgia stressed the significance of the National Idea - Education, which inter alia includes access to education as one of its key components.
Prime Minister of Georgia visited Gudamakari today together with Maya Tskitishvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. They spoke with local residents about the blueprints for the road rehabilitation in Gudamakari. Head of Government of Georgia was escorted by Shalva Kereselidze, State Representative in the region, MP Irakli Tripolski, MP Mirian Tsiklauri, along with Sozar Subari, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Georgia on Regional Development and Mariam Kvrivishvili, Head of National Tourism Administration of Georgia.
