Mikheil Machavariani, UNM member tells that Mikheil Sakashvili was not in breach of law. He responds to the pre elections monitoring report, held by the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED).
"MIkheil Sakashvili's interferences are in full accordance with the Georgian legislation. This usual practice is, when the foreign country's leaders are declaring its support for the political party. This is not to be counted as participation in elections campaign. So, I would advise opponents to read carefully the legislation, "- Mikheil Machavariani tells.
The report published today by NGOs reads that Saakashvili took part in preelections campaign twice, in breach of the law. Saakashvili is a citizen of the Ukraine.
