Giorgi Papuashvili, Chair of the Georgian Constitutional Court is summoned today to the Chief Prosecutor's Office. However, to the Head of the Constitutional Court declared that before his meeting with Prime Minister he is not going to attend the investigative Office.
The Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case based on declarations of Constitutional Court's Chair, the investigation on the matter started. The facts of interference to the activity of Constitutional Court's Judges and interference to its private life for obtaining illegally the private life secret materials are alleged. The Prosecutor's Office summoned as well other 8 Judges of the Coustituitonal Court.
Giorgi Papuashvili tells is not sure of the effectiveness of the investigation that is to be conducted by the Prosecutor's Office.
"The Prosecutor's Office factually stormed the private life of Judges, staying at its houses and at the work places. Often they were summoned immediately, in case of not attending meeting, a criminal liability was imposed on them. This raised many questions, if really the Prosecutor's Office is willing to investigate fairly the case. Only after the responsibility will be taken by the political heads for fair and full investigation of facts, we attend the meeting with the Chief Prosecutor. And maybe in such case we will have a chance for real investigation of the facts, " - Giorgi Papushvili tells.
