The International Republican Institute (IRI), in connection with the Parliamentary elections, that is to be held on October 8 sends to Georgia the observers mission. The monitoring of elections will be conducted by 14 long-term obersrvers from 10 different countries. They are conducting a meeting now at the Hotel Radisson.
Andrea Kerbs Director of International Republican Institute in Georgia declared to journalists the monitoring areal includes Tbilisi, Samegrelo region, Ajara, Guria, Imereti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli, Shida Kartli, Kakheti, Mtskheta-Tianeti. Observers will meet with candidates, political parties, NGOs and media representatives. They will attend meetings with electorate too and will estimate the preelections campaigns.
For the day of elections about 30 short-term observers will arrive to Georgia. They will conduct a monitoring at the day of elections.
