Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business member companies “Glenberry” and “Magal”, despite the emergency caused by Coronavirus, are increasing their exports of their products. The owner of the company is Rafael Magalashvili, an Israeli citizen.
"Glenberry" fruit freezer is located in the village of Kvena Tkotsa, Kaspi district. It produces high quality frozen fruits and berries (peaches, plums, cherries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries) that are exported in the US, Israel and Switzerland.
According to Rafael Magalashvili, during the pandemic, the company "Glenberry" exported 4 containers of frozen strawberries. The company has been ordered 40 containers of strawberries, but there are no such quality fruits in Georgia, so the company "Magal" planted strawberries on 11 hectares, and vegetables were arranged on 8 hectares.
"Magal" also grows 3.5 hectares of tomatoes, which are sold only in Italy. According to the entrepreneur, his companies have large orders from Switzerland, but there are no such products in Georgia.
Rafael Magalashvili's company also produces Kosher products, which are mainly sold in US supermarkets.
Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business is the initiator of the production of Kosher products in Georgia, with the support of which the company "Badagoni" has already bottled Kosher wine.
The product won a gold medal at the international competition in Germany in the first year. According to Itsik Moshe, head of the Chamber of Business, the organization is actively helping member companies to develop, establish international contacts or overcome certain challenges.
