Rompetrol Georgia will actively engage in the work of the Kazakh-Georgian Economic Union. The company is one of the founders of the Union, the purpose of which is to deepen investment and trade cooperation, the development of tourism, and cultural ties between the two countries.
The Kazakh-Georgian Economic Union was created by a joint initiative and efforts of the Embassy of Kazakhstan and Kazakh-Georgian business. The meeting of the founders of the Union was attended by employees of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Georgia, representatives of Kazakh companies, media and other interested parties.
“The Kazakh-Georgian Economic Union will contribute to strengthening trade and economic partnership and cultural friendly relations between the two countries. My role as the Honorary Consul includes promoting bilateral economic relations and increasing trade and investment between Georgia and the countries of the Central Asian region." - says the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Georgia, Giorgi Jakhutashvili.
“Joining the Union is a good step towards deepening business relations between the two countries. The Union will focus on investment, trade, tourism, social, and cultural life of the two countries. Rompetrol will actively engage in the work process and we think we will take many positive steps in this direction,” – said at Rompetrol.
Together with Rompetrol Georgia, the founders of the Union are business companies and corporations created with Kazakh capital, operating in the Georgian market: Halyk Bank Georgia, Capitol Investment Group, Batumi Oil Terminal, Air Astana, Silk Road Group, and GK Logistic.
About 30 companies with a total investment capital of $450 million have been established in Georgia with the participation of Kazakh capital. These companies employ over 3,500 people. Projects worth $30 million are being smoothly implemented in Georgia with the participation of Kazakh capital.
