My wish for our Ukrainian friends is to establish peace, end this war fast, and return to their homes in peace, Prime Minister said after meeting with Ukrainian schoolchildren at Mykhailo Hrushevsky Public School #41.
Georgia is and will remain maximally supportive and attentive to Ukraine, the Head of Government stated.
“Today, we met with Ukrainian schoolchildren, who are staying in Georgia temporarily, and today we are hosting our Ukrainian friends, their children. It"s very symbolic that, today, my children and I met with first-graders. Once again, I wish our Ukrainian friends a speedy return to their homes. We have repeatedly gone through the pain they are experiencing now, and my wish for our Ukrainian friends is to establish peace, end this war fast, and return to their homes in peace. Our citizens are doing their best. We rank first among 190 countries around the globe for providing in excess of 500 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, a gift and support from the Georgian people to the Ukrainian people. Of course, we are and will be maximally supportive and attentive to the Ukrainians in Georgia”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
He took a personal interest in the learning conditions in the Ukrainian-language sector, and spoke with the schoolchildren.
As of today, 211 schoolchildren have expressed their desire to enroll in the Ukrainian sector. Their numbers are growing on a daily basis.
