“We need to be looking out for Moldova and Georgia. They are at risk,” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated at the Senate Appropriations Committee sitting, responding to the senators’ questions about possible Russian aggression against Georgia and Moldova.
According to the Secretary of State, the US has close cooperation with both countries.
“I share your concern about the vulnerable position in Georgia and Moldova. I am working very closely with both countries,” Secretary Blinken said.
He spoke about the US’s efforts to support these countries.
“We have contributed an additional $100 million to support Moldova. The request that we have before you would fund programs in several areas, including cybersecurity, economic stabilization, and counter disinformation. The point you made is exactly right. We need to be looking out for these countries. They are at risk,” Blinken added.
