The Georgian Post Director General Mr. Levan Chikvaidze along with the the CEO of the Curacao Post Mr. Thomas Roggendorf, had been cordially invited as the guests of honor by the United States Postal Service (USPS) to attend the US National Postal Forum held on May 15-18, in Phoenix, state of Arizona, USA.
The event was organized by the United States Postal Service (USPS). The forum, along with the US Postal Service Management, was attended by high level representatives of the postal business related sectors.
During the sessions and educational workshops held within the framework of the forum, the attendants discussed industry insights on the latest innovations in mailing and shipping. The Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer of the USPS Mr. Louis Dejoy presented a ten-year development plan of the US Post, which fully reflects the objectives and challenging areas of development. The plan with a budget of 400 billion dollars is fully supported by the government.
Worth mentioning that the Director General of The Georgian Post Mr. Chikvaidze was invited by the major broadcasting companies - CBS News and ABC News for the interviews, where he spoke about the represented ten-year development plan and mentioned about the professional networking opportunities provided to Georgian Post by sharing the experience of the US Postal Service USPS.
During the forum Mr. Chikvaidze had an opportunity to hold an introductory meeting with the USPS representatives: Mr. Louis Dejoy, the Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer of the USPS; Mr. Ron Bloom, the Chair of board of Governors of USPS; Ms. Tammy L. Whitcomb, the Inspector General of the USPS and a business related meeting with Ms. Judy de Torok, the Vice President of Corporate Communications of the USPS.
