The chief coach of the Georgian national junior football team, Otar Gabelia has resigned. Already the former coach said this at the special press conference today, where he also explained the motives of his decision.
He said the last match vs. Spain`s junior team, where Georgians scored only two goals, whiles Spanish team scored nine, made him decide to leave the post of the coach. Gabelia thanked the Football Federation for its intensive support to the development of football in Georgia and wished success to junior footballers.
The president of the GFF also commented on the decision of the coach. Zviad Sitchinava said it would take no longer than a week to appoint a new coach.
`We have not considered the candidacies of the new coach yet, however, as you know we have to play vs. Switzerland soon and about in a week, we shall appoint a new coach and introduce him to you,` Sitchinava said.
