Law enforcers have arrested a person suspected of killing two persons eught years ago. The officers of Tbilisi Police Main Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained Vasil Khvedelidze with the charges of premeditated murder.
According to the investigation, on May 12, 2004 Vasil Khvedelidze inflicted severe health injuries with a cold steel to Valeri Zhorzholiani and Joni Janelidze on the basis of conflict and fled from the place of incident. The murder occurred in Gldani district, Tbilisi. Valeri Zhorzholiani died at the hospital and Joni Janelidze was found dead in vicinities of the place of crime.
The detainee has already pleaded guilty. Investigation is in progress under the article 109 (as per addition, May 31, 2006) envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
