A new hospital was opened today in Gori town of Shida Kartli region within the framework of the governmental hospitals' development sector.
The hospital of European standards is envisaged to accommodate up to 32 patients. The clinic has reanimation and surgery departments. It is provided with up-to-date X-Ray and radiology equipments.
There are 90 trained doctors employed at the hospital. Georgia's President Mikheil Saakashvili arrived in Gori on this occasion and talked to doctors.
Locals also gathered in town to greet the president. They thanked Saakashvili for carried out infrastructure works and implemented projects. Georgia will have 150 such hospitals at the end of 2012.
