Local administration is counting damage in the Mestia district of Georgia`s remote Region of Svaneti, which has been damaged most of all due to the last few days` non-stop rains.
The villages in the Mestia district have the most serious problems, as the floods have ruined several houses, blocked up roads and swept agricultural lands in the villages of Mulakhi and Lenjviri.
The relevant offices have already launched the road cleaning works, which were blocked by a landslide, to reconnect the district to the rest of the region. The road needs to be repaired at some sections of the highway
