Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 26.
At 22:00, journalists who were waiting for the completion of a meeting of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko faction saw Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov leaving the building of the Presidential Administration, the Insider online news site reported.
Later, an administration representative said that at that time Poroshenko had a hard talk with Putin in the presence of the ambassador. The source said that it lasted one-and-a-half hours. The president was dissatisfied at the faction meeting.
"There is a problem with Russia - they threaten to begin an attack and demand that [Ukraine] recognize separatist republics and refuse to join NATO and the EU," the source said.
Another person close to the president said that there had been no contacts with Moscow for more than a week after the G20 summit in Australia.
"Earlier, they talked by phone almost every day, and we also talked through intermediaries, but now all contacts have been stopped. And we don't know what he [Putin] is planning to do," the interlocutor said.
