Tbilisi Aircraft Manufacturing Joint Stock Company (Tbilaviamsheni) has been merged with the Georgian Defence Ministry. It will be turned into a Legal Entity of Public Law Military Repair-Industrial Complex. The ministry and the company have been collaborating with each other during years. The Tbilaviamsheni has been carrying out repairing works of technical equipments for the defence ministry.
Pantiko Tordia, who has proposed the merging, will be heading the company again.
`Our key customer is MoD and given the fact we came to a decision that the joint operation of two entities will be more productive and useful for both sides. In addition we have presented our initiative and plans to the MoD and received consent to engage in the working of Military-Industrial Complex`, he said.
Representatives of the defence ministry have officially rejected the information released by several news agencies regarding upcoming staff reshuffles inside the ministry.
