Ukraine is not controlling a 409.3-kilometer-long section of the state border with Russia, which passes through the territories temporarily controlled by bandit groups.
Chairman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Viktor Nazarenko, said this at a press conference at Ukrinform on Friday.
"We currently do not control 409.3 kilometers of the section of the Ukrainian-Russian border, which passes fully in Donetsk region and partly in Luhansk region," he said.
He said that direct and indirect actions of Russia remained the main factor of influence on border security.
He noted that the Russian side was not fulfilling agreements on border issues, but was supplying military equipment, weapons and mercenaries to Donbas and carrying out information warfare and sabotage activities.
