Between Tbilisi and one of the largest cities of the People's Republic of China Guangzhou was signed the agreement of collaboration. The agreement was signed by the Mayor of Tbilisi Davit Narmania and the Mayor of Guangzhou Chen Dzianhua. As GHN was informed from City Hall due to the agreement the sides will encourage deepening of economical relations between cities with the collaboration of proper institutes and will support to establish connections between entrepreneurs, organizations and institutes. As the Mayor of Tbilisi stated in the last period the relations between Georgian and Chinese cities became very active that is stimulus for deepening of bilateral contacts.
"It must be especially underlined the partnership and friendly relations between Tbilisi and Guangzhou. These relations are important for us because Guangzhou is one of the leading innovative cities in the region and relations with such kind of cities are a priority for us," stated Davit Narmania.
As the Mayor of Tbilisi said as a result of the agreement the sides will actively collaborate in the direction of attracting investments and developing of tourism.
Before the signing of the agreement the Mayor of Guangzhou stated that he will take care to establish air flights between two cities that will help to the development of tourism and establishing economic relations.
Davit Narmania offered to Chen Dzianhua to held business forum in Tbilisi where Chinese big companies will receive full information about economic and business possibilities of the capital of Georgia.
The sides also talked about main directions of urban development of two cities. As the Mayor of Guangzhou marked the Chinese side is ready to chare own experience to official Tbilisi.
The official ceremony of the agreement was attended by the chairman of assembly Giorgi Alibegashvili, also representatives of Tbilisi City Hall and assembly.
