The State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, David Bakradze attended the reception dedicated to the Romania's National Day, reports GHN based on the Ministry of European and Euro Atlantic Integration.
The State Minister addressed the audience and congratulated the hosts with the national holiday. In his address David Bakradze spoke about the existing friendly relations between Georgia and Romania, exchange of high-level between the two countries, the active bilateral cooperation in the framework of the European integration process, as well as the significance of Romania's support for Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration. The State Minister noted that the role of Romania in both directions is very important: in the course of the last two years Romania has been carrying out the functions of the NATO Contact Point Embassy in Georgia and it was the first state to ratify the Association Agreement between EU and Georgia.
The State Minister expressed his gratitude towards Romania for its support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, the European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Georgia, as well as for 2014 Declaration adopted by the Romania's Senate on the Support of the European and Euro-Atlantic efforts of Georgia.
The reception was attended by the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, representatives of the executive branch of Georgia's Government and other guests.
