The Georgian Foreign Minister, Ms Tamar Beruchashvili held a series of bilateral meetings in the frames of the NATO Ministerial meeting. On the 2nd of December 2014, Ms Beruchashvili met her Bulgarian, Belgian, Portuguese, Lithuanian, Icelandic and Slovakian counterparts, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Foreign Ministers focused on the so-called "treaty" signed between the Russian Federation and the occupation regime of Abkhazia, Georgia; discussed the threats posed by the signature of the so-called "treaty" in terms of the regional stability and security; and underlined that this action of the Russian Federation will have negative consequences in the wider context of European and Euro-Atlantic security as well. The Foreign Ministers reaffirmed their Governments' support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Ms Beruchashvili thanked her colleagues and the international community for statements supporting Georgia and condemning the fact of signing the so-called "treaty".
During the bilateral meetings, the Georgian Foreign Minister provided the colleagues with the information on the main goals of Georgia's foreign policy in terms of European and Euro-Atlantic integration; and underlined the positive dynamics of bilateral relations and further development of co-operation in different spheres with the aforesaid countries.
