The militants stepped up firing positions of ATO forces to the north and northwest of Luhansk.
Head of the Information Resistance group Dmytro Tymchuk wrote on Facebook.
"Intensity of shelling positions of Ukrainian troops in the north and northwest of Luhansk increased. Before, a considerable artillery group of militants came to the area - at least two divisions of cannon and rocket artillery," Tymchuk wrote.
He added that during yesterday's battle near Stanytsia Luhanska the enemy massively used tanks (eight units). As a result, the enemy lost at least one tank, the attack was disrupted by return fire of Ukrainian troops.
