Several ministers in the ruling team were replaced a few months ago. To achieve desired outcomes and ensure greater effectiveness of state agencies, changes were made at lower levels of government as well, reports GHN based on press service of Prime Minister.
Changes were implemented in the Security and Crisis Management Council and the Economic Council.
Business Ombudsman Giorgi Gakharia will take over the chairmanship of the Economic Council. At the same time, he will keep his position as Business Ombudsman. Roman Chkhenkeli, who did an excellent job creating an effective institution, requested on numerous occasions to be relieved of his duties as Chair of the Economic Council. The Prime Minister upheld his request. As for Giorgi Gakharia, he has spent two years in active cooperation with the business sector. He is versed in ongoing economic processes and favorable factors that businesses seek to receive from the government.
After Mindia Janelidze was appointed Minister of Defense, the office of Chair of the Security and Crisis Management Council remained vacant. Davit Sujashvili will take over this office. He has vast experience in working on state security issues.
Changes in public service are a natural process. Changes were implemented in the Ministry of Infrastructure as well. Since the Ministry of Infrastructure will launch a vast amount of large-scale works next year, while its funding will be one billion GEL, Nodar Javakhishvili, with whom our public is well acquainted, will replace Zurab Kopadze as Minister of Infrastructure. Javakhishvili's vast experience will promote the proper and effective use of the ministry's resources.
Zaza Dolidze was recently appointed as the head of the National Food Agency. Kakhaber Sologhashvili was appointed as the head of the Department of Environmental Supervision. In the next few days, the name of the new head of the State Insurance Supervision Service will also be announced.
Fresh and professional human resources are a precondition for the successful operation of state agencies. Constant replenishment and improvement address new challenges and aim to ensure greater effectiveness in the work of the government.
