The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili met co-rapporteur of monitoring committee of council of Europe Parliamentary assembly (PACE) Boris Silevich, reports GHN based on press service of the Prime Minister.
We have a very optimistically attitude to the progress of Georgia, - co-rapporteur of monitoring committee of council of Europe Parliamentary assembly (PACE) Boris Silevich stated after the meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili. One of the main topics of discussion was the agreement on alliance and strategic partnership between Abkhazia and Russia which co-rapporteur of monitoring committee described as deplorable and stated that this issue is discussed by the European council.
At the meeting with Boris Silevich and deputy head of PACE monitoring department Bas Klain the Prime Minister noted that the Georgian Government attaches a great importance to close cooperation with the institutions of European council and hopes that this alliance will be more strengthened in the future.
According to Irakli Garibashvili the Government also appreciates the role of co-rapporteurs and welcomes such monitoring that enables to assess the situation objectively.
