Ministry of Defence of Georgia continues participation in green action "Green Future". Defence Minister Mindia Janelidze, his deputies, top brass of General Staff and platoon of I Artillery Brigade of the GAF involved in the action today, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Defense.
Today's campaign was dedicated to the commemoration of the Georgian military servicemen from city Rustavi - Vakhtang Gzirishvili, Kakhaber Tavgorashvili, Giorgi Javakhishvili, Besik Kapanadze and Levan Iosebidze fallen in August War 2008. Mindia Janelidze planted ash-trees and Japanese maples together with military nearby the rugby stadium in city Rustavi.
Green action is held under the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia. Georgian military servicemen take active part in the "Green Future". Within the campaign, the Georgian soldiers have already planted 400 trees in the nearby territory of V Infantry Brigade in Gori in April.
