The number of Russian troops in Ukraine remains unchanged and amounts to several thousand servicemen, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Monday.
"We do not have the exact number, but these are several thousand [troops]. We make no order as to how many of them should be transferred here," Lysenko said.
He said that due to the permanent rotation the number of Russian troops in Ukraine is not falling. "It's at the same level. Their number is not falling, it is falling only naturally - the dead are rotated with the alive," Lysenko said.
