The public defender of Georgia proposed the government of Georgia idea regarding social-economic condition of the population of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, reports GHN.
In Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti infrastructure is not organized, the level of unemployment is high, the population has no natural gas that except of the fact that created discomfort also impedes development of small business; population has no access on important state service as it is notary service. That's why there are complicated legal relations and legal confirmation of the facts; the houses that were damaged as a result of earthquake in 2009 are still in hard condition; social condition of the population is low. These facts determine massive migration of the population from mountainous regions.
The public defender considers that the care about mountainous regions should be one of the most important functions of the state. The special attitude of the state towards mountainous regions is determined by tough geographic location and also by acute demographic issues that is permanent and main problems of mountainous regions.
According to the mentioned above the public defender proposes the government of Georgia to develop proper strategic and active plan to solve social-economic problems and to defend human rights; to provide with equal social-economic condition in whole country government have to take measures in short period of time to work out so called "law of the mountain."
