Georgian political experts hail the visit of the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to Tbilisi assessing it as the demonstration of political support to the country. They expect intensification of this support after this visit in the future. Gia Nodia and Tornike Sharashenidze believe that the yesterday`s visit was demonstration of the US position that the new administration will never accept occupation of Georgia`s breakaway territories and will force Russia to fulfil its obligations confirmed with 2008 agreements.
`United States has intensified its political activities towards Georgia and their officials have reiterated many times from various international tribunes that Russia must fulfil the terms of the document which they signed in August 2008. This is very significant because the US administration does not recognize the spheres of influence. It means that the new administration has finally formed its position towards Georgia,` Tornike Sharashenidze said.
According to Gia Nodia, the yesterday`s visit does not mean that situation will change in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, however, it means that the situation will not worsen and that Georgia is on the agenda of international politics.
