The new government of Greece discusses the possibility to veto the new process to impose sanctions against Russia, reports the Greek edition Ekathimerini.
About this intent became known since the Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras stated that he doesn't agree with the discussion of the leaders of European Union about necessity to impose new sanctions against Russia.
On Thursday the meeting of the Ministers of the Foreign Affairs of European Union will be attended also by the new head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Kotzias who supports the idea to have close relations with Moscow. European Union needs consent of 28 member countries to impose new sanctions against Russia. Greece can veto the decision of other countries.
