The Minister of Defense Mindia Janelidze responded to the statement of the former Premier Bidzina Ivanishvili concerning participation of Georgian militants in the hostilities in Ukraine and marked that we have to choose such kind of forms to help Ukraine not to harm our national interests, reports GHN.
"Yesterday we heard from Mr. Bidzina that of course we have to express out solidarity towards Ukrainian state, have to help it, but have to choose such kind of forms to help Ukraine not to harm our national interests. Besides we have to choose the ways of help possibility of which our state has," stated Janelidze after the meeting of the government.
We remind that with the statement of the former Premier Bidzina Ivanishvili the issue of military aid of Ukraine has to be decided on the state level.
"If Ukraine needs help it should be decided on the state level, as our soldiers fight in Afghanistan together with international community. Georgian state has to have such kind of readiness and has today, however the declaration of the "National Movement" it is not that tries to take Georgian young people in Ukraine and to make them fight there," stated Ivanishvili in the air of "Imedi".
