The President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili today met the representatives of interparty group. The main theme of the conversation was the issue of election system. As it was marked there will take place more meetings concerning this issue, reports GHN.
As the head of the administration of the President said the legislation needs refining and changes should be implemented in short time period. The representatives of interparty group informed the first person of the country about their opinion concerning election system.
"On the meeting there were made many interesting questions. It is natural that attention was paid on the election system and on the issues of election administration. The President of Georgia will be involved in these processes. We think that election legislation needs refining. Elections legislation should be refined so to provide with pluralism and representation of political forces in parliament, on the other side these changes should be implemented in short time period the society, election entities and especially elections administration to have possibility to be prepared and to implement changes in a right way," stated Davit Pataraia.
The meeting was attended by the head of the administration of the President Davit Patraia and parliamentary secretary Giorgi Kverenchkhiladze.
