The chairperson of a non-governmental organization Solidarity to Illegal Prisoners has reported the details of violation of the rights of convict, Merab Tsiklauri.
Eka Beselia told journalists today that Merab Tsiklauri was a disabled prisoner, who could not move independently and was held in the Gldani Prison Hospital.
Beselia asserts the prisoner was beaten up by the deputy director of the prison and the head of the regime. Eka Beselia calls upon the prosecutor to investigate the case and punish the people, who beat up the convict.
The case of Merab Tsiklauri will be sent to the European Court of Human Rights soon.
