Trust towards Russia is less now than it was during the period of Soviet Union. About this stated the NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow while delivering speech on the conference in Oslo on Leangkollen Conference, reports GHN.
"Even before Ukrainian crisis military sphere of Russia was not transparent, it was not performed Treaty on Conventional Forces and other initiatives. Today trust towards Russia is less than it was in the period of Soviet Union. Russia considers NATO as threat, it has basis for, however alliance doesn't try confrontation with Moscow and doesn't plan to change political regime in Russia," states Vershbow.
