Tuday, February 2, 10 years have passed from the death of the former Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Jhvania. Zurab Jhvania's Relatives, friends and official persons will lay flowers on his grave, reports GHN.
Zurab Jhvania died on February 3, 2005. According to the information as a result of the death was named leak of natural gas. However the investigation has not ended yet and the case of the former Premier is not closed.
His body was found by the members of his personal security in Tbilisi, Saburtalo St, in one of the flats. Together with him in the flat there was representative of National Movement Raul Usupov, whose body was buried by his relatives in native village.
Zuran Jhvania was born on December 9, 1963. In 1985, after he graduated from the university together with the group of young people and with the support of scientists founded ecological association; on the base of this association was created the movement "Greens of Georgia" (1988). As the first chairman was elected Zurab Jhvania.
In 1992 he became co-chairman of European "Greens" from eastern European countries. In 1993 he was elected as secretary general of the Union of Citizens. In 1995 and 1999 Zurab Jhvania was elected as the chairman of the Parliament of Georgia.
In 2001 Jhvania left the position of the speaker of the Parliament. In July 2002 together with like minded persons founded the party "United Democrats." After the events of the November of 2003 by the Parliament was approved on the position of the State Minister, on February 18, 2004 on the position of the Prime Minister.
Zurab Jhvania is buried in the pantheon of the writers and public figures on Didube.
