The head of the department of experts of the administration of occupied Abkhazia Irakli Khintba responded to the call of NATO on Russia to cancel recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, reports GHN.
"Recognition of our country from Russia will not be cancelled - NATO will like it or not.
If the member countries of alliance will be interested to really solve the controversy between Georgia and Abkhazia in this case instead of non-recognition policy it is better to discuss recognition of Abkhazia because the solving of inter-state relations between Georgia and Abkhazia is possible only with the way of recognition of Abkhazia by Georgia and other states," stated Irakli Khintba.
Khintba considers that NATO mixed in each other the wish to make Russia more bitter, defective expertise in the issues of South Caucasus and moral support towards Georgia which doesn't have real perspective of membership of NATO.
"It seems also that it is not logical when NATO wastes its authority to discuss issues that is not in its mandate and not in its geographical area.
Before alliance will strengthen different formats of collaboration with Georgia and will create its infrastructure on the territory of Georgia these actions will make situation in the region more tensed.
The main thing is that Abkhazia will be safe from provocative adventure. The guarantee will be defense actions considered by the agreement signed between Abkhazia and Russia," stated Khintba.
We remind that on Wednesday in Brussels on the meeting of commission of NATO-Georgia NATO called on Russia to take back the recognition of occupied Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
