The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia released the statement concerning extradition of Mikheil Saakashvili and Zurab Adeishvili to Georgia, reports GHN.
We offer the statement of the Prosecutor's Office without changes:
The extradition between wanted persons between Ukraine and Georgia will take place with the European convention of 1957 "about extradition", "about legal help of civil, family and criminal cases" of Minsk convention of 1993 and "about legal help on relations on civil and criminal cases" with the bilateral agreement made in 1995 between Georgia and Ukraine. With the international agreement that is already mentioned the sides take responsibilities to discuss and to hand to each other accused persons according to the regulations. Accordingly because of the fact that Mikheil Saakashvili and Zurab Adeishvili are accused and there is announced the search on them according to red circular and also because of the fact that according to the gained information the mentioned persons are in Ukraine, the main Prosecutor's Office of Georgia applied the General Prosecutor of Ukraine to determine the persons mentioned above with the motion about extradition and arrest, Ukrainian side has not applied to the General Prosecutor of Georgia about the issue of Mikheil Saakshvili and Zurab Adeishvili and denies the extradition of wanted persons.
