OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has called upon the Russian Federation to fulfil the terms of the August 2008 six-point ceasefire document once again.
The migration committee held in the OSCE head office yesterday, discussed the resolution, which refers to unconditional repatriation of IDPs to their homes in Georgia`s occupied regions. The document was initiated by the Georgian delegation and the honorary president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE. Despite intensive resistance by the Russian side, all members of the assembly except Russia supported the document. The second resolution, which was discussed in the Political Committee of OACE PA, referred to the use of energy-resources for political goals.
The members of the Georgian delegation say that during the discussion it was confirmed that Russian Federation was most frequently using the energy resources for specific political goals.
