US Ambassador to Georgia, Richard Norland responds to the replacement as his successor of Ian Kelly. The comment of the Ambassador was released on the social network "Facebook", on the US Embassy page, reports GHN.
"The President Obama represented on the position of future Ambassador to Georgia career diplomat Ian Kelly. I am glad that the White House named as my successor, such an experienced and respected colleague. Right now his candidacy is discussed by the senate of US and will be approved. We are expecting his visit at the end of Summer after the expiry date of my three year. The thinking about leaving professional diplomatic service is one of the hardest part, that is learned and loved, but this is trait of this profession. Before living in the rest months it will be honor for me to make everything for deepening of relations between US and Georgia, also for support of democracy, security and economic wealth on this beautiful and oldest land," states Norland.
