Today The City Court issues the ruling about the former Vice Mayor's pre-trial detention again.
• The first time he was detained on the morning of June 27, 2013. At that time Georgia was visited by The NATO's high-ranking officials' delegation. The government avoided a political scandal, and he was released. His detention was concluded as if he was interrogated as a witness;
• The second time he was arrested on the evening of June 27, 2013 after that the NATO's delegation left the country. Same time he was indicted and transferred to the Ministry of Internal affair's custody;
• After 72 hours on the pre-trial court hearing the judge recognized him as an illegal prisoner and he was dismissed from the court hall. But after the two-hour break the same judge discovered a venture in his freedom and sentence was passed on his pre-trial imprisonment. It was the third time he was arrested and he was placed in the jail. In a month itself the prosecutor's office applied with the prayer of process and he was released from the prison on bail by the count order.
Today it is the fourth action to arrest and imprison him again for the same case. There are also rumours that he left Georgia. As is well known he is under pressure from the prosecutor's office to give afalse incriminating testimony against the former Mayor, Gigi Ugulava.
